Chess Rating HQ is built to need almost nothing from you. Your rating stays on your device, we keep no accounts, and the only third party involved is the ad network. Here is exactly how that works.

Your input never leaves your device
The rating you type in is processed entirely in your browser. It is used only on your own device, to look up baked-in tables that ship with the page. It is never sent to a server, never uploaded, and never stored by us. When you close the tab, it is gone.
Information we collect
None. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail, and we do not build a profile of you.
Cookies and advertising
This is a free tool, and advertising keeps it that way. Ads are served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of personalized advertising from participating vendors at aboutads.info/choices. These advertising cookies are set by Google, not by us, and we cannot access or read them.
Analytics
We run no analytics of our own. Our hosting provider may keep standard, aggregated server logs for security and reliability. Those logs do not identify you as an individual.
A note on accuracy
The percentiles and conversions shown here are statistical estimates drawn from sampled data and refreshed monthly. They describe populations of players, not a promise about any single player. Treat them as a well-grounded guide rather than an exact measurement of you.
